Hi all,

I picked up this station lighter and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it.

In Jack’s book, it most closely resembles a Wayne 100 Station Lighter, however the lines down the side are not wide like the illustration in the book.

It looks like the arms of the harp were cut off and a new wire design was used to hold the shade. I’m not sure if a person did this or was it a factory alteration in the design.

The letters on the top silver piece read:
ABOL TE
IR
300-500

At the very top of the silver piece it says something about a Patent, but I can’t read it.

Is it even real? I’ve noticed on all the repops that the shade is the same color on the inside as the outside and no repop has a main shaft of this design.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Yes, Wayne stationlighter with the top arms cut off. Silver piece was added by someone after manufacture. It will work like that, but the bottom is missing the threaded studs and brackets that go inside the wayne 100. Also used on a Wayne 70.

The shade is a original early style Wayne. The silver part is not Wayne. The shade is for the style of station lighter with the three flat arms. Here is a picture that Dick Bennett posted in the past for information. These lighters were his.

Dang. So basically, I have a mess? LOL.

I have a few harps and shades in my “junk” pile. I’m gonna go see if any of them will make this thing correct. So I basically need a harp and shade like Marky’s, if I can find one.

Thank you for all of your help,
Steve

One more question....

Does anyone know what the silver piece goes to?

Thanks,
Steve
