Hello - I found this old Convoy oil can under the stairs in my barn. Trying to find some info online but no luck on this particular can. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

I think the best way to find value on a rare can is to put it on EBay and see what happens. Do a 7 or 9 day auction and see what she brings.

Can you pull it out and take a fuller pic of it?

I’ve tried to post more pics a couple times but they’re not showing up.

Two gallons are pretty hot right now and that one has some graphics going for it. If I had to guess, I’d say anywhere between $85-$200 would be a good estimate. If the condition was a bit better you’d be closer to the high end but there certainly are a bunch of 2 gallon nuts that might not care. Sweet can, thanks for sharing!

Great - thanks for the info! Any idea of what time period this might be from?

Hi, whalechaser. The Western Auto Sign shown on the can seems like later 1930's vintage to me. And, of course the word "Convoy", used with ships, brings up thoughts of W.W.II. Hopefully someone with more Western Auto experience than me will chime in. John

Hi John - thanks for the insight, I appreciate it. I'm a little surprised I can't find any reference for the can online. Maybe I underestimate how much is out there.
Thanks again. WC
